Dr. Pinkhasov grew up in New York City. He attended City University of New York – Hunter College for his undergraduate studies, majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry. He graduated with the highest distinction of summa cum laude and was selected as a member to the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honor Society.
Dr. Pinkhasov went on to receive his medical degree from the State University of New York – Downstate Medical Center, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his general surgery and urology residency at Milton S Hershey – Pennsylvania State Medical Center. Dr. Pinkhasov subsequently completed a clinical fellowship in urologic oncology and minimally invasive surgery at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Pinkhasov is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and is an active member of the American Urologic Association, American College of Surgeons, Chicago Urological Society and Society of Urologic Oncology. In addition to taking care of patients, Dr. Pinkhasov enjoys teaching and serves as a clinical preceptor for the Allied Practice Provider program at Valparaiso University as well as an adjunct clinical Professor of Urology at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He is also an active member of the Northwest Health Porter medical staff, serving as the immediate past Vice Chair of the Department of Surgery, current Chair of the Department of Surgery, Surgeon Champion of the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program of the American Society of Surgeons for Northwest Health Porter, and a Co-Chair of the Physician Leadership Group.
Dr. Pinkhasov has a strong interest in all urologic cancers, robotic and minimally invasive surgeries, reconstructive surgery, enlarged prostate and voiding dysfunction, kidney stone disease, urinary tract infections and prostatitis, erectile dysfunction, low testosterone and vasectomy.
Dr. Pinkhasov lives in Valparaiso, Indiana with his wife Yana, their two children and their dog. In his free time, Dr. Pinkhasov enjoys reading, running and traveling.
